6WIND is recruiting a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect to develop new business and grow sales across France and southern Europe.

Your mission consists in leading 6WIND Presales activities across the region and to become a key and respected technical resource at strategic Telecom Service Providers, Internet Service Providers and Cloud Hosting Providers accounts, bridging the gap between technical solutions and business needs.

This position reports to the EMEA & APAC Sales Engineering Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects by providing deep technical insights

• Interact with major international Networking, Telecom and Cloud Hosting companies

• Position 6WIND Networking products including 6WIND Virtual Service Router suite (vBNG, vCGNAT, vFW, vSecGW, vUPF ...) and 6WIND Virtual Host Network Accelerator as the leading solutions in a booming market

• Understand the requirements and prospects’ needs

• Build highly sophisticated and efficient demos and presentations

• Lead evaluations, proof of concepts and RFIs/RFQs/RFPs

• Work closely with a wide range of technology partners (Intel, ARM, Nvidia, Dell, VMware, RedHat…)

• Provide helpful and constructive customer feedback to our PLM and R&D teams

• Assisting in product roadmap discussions based on market demand

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking or Telecommunications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Network Computing field with a proven sales track-record

• In-depth understanding of Telco Cloud networking use-cases

• Excellent knowledge of Linux and open source environments

• Comfortable with various networking protocols such as : TCP/IP, IPsec, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, SNMP, VLAN, VXLAN, etc.

• Familiarity with Linux system level network debugging (statistics, tcpdump, logs, netstat, nmap, traceroute, socat, etc.)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

• Familiarity with virtualization (KVM, VMware, Openstack), container environments and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Network Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are highly appreciated
