Senior Sales Engineer, DACH Region
6WIND is recruiting a top notch Sales Engineer to grow our business across the DACH region.
Your mission consists in leading 6WIND Presales activities across the DACH region and to become a key and respected technical resource at strategic Service Providers accounts, bridging the gap between technical solutions and business needs.
This position reports to the EMEA & APAC Sales Engineering Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects by providing deep technical insights
- Interact with major international Networking and Telecom companies
- Position 6WIND Networking products (Virtual Service Routers : BNG, CGNat, Virtual security gateways…) as the leading solutions in a booming market
- Understand the requirements and prospects’ needs
- Build highly sophisticated and efficient demos and presentations
- Lead evaluations, proof of concepts and RFIs/RFQs/RFPs
- Work closely with a wide range of technology partners (Intel, ARM, Nvidia, Dell, VMware, RedHat…)
- Provide helpful and constructive customer feedback to our PLM and R&D teams
- Assisting in product roadmap discussions based on market demand
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking or Telecommunications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Network Computing field with a proven sales track-record
- In-depth understanding of Telco Service Providers networking use-cases
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and open source environments
- Comfortable with networking protocols such as : TCP/IP, IPsec, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, SNMP, VLAN, VXLAN, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux system level network debugging (statistics, tcpdump, logs, netstat, nmap, traceroute, socat, etc.)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels including C-levels within the prospect and client organizations
- Familiarity with virtualization (KVM, VMware, Openstack) and container environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Network Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are highly appreciated
